PROJECTS
ANNUAL UNIFORM AND STATIONERY DRIVE
​The founding members have continued to fund the program through the purchasing and distribution of books, uniforms and school supplies, while developing other means to raise funds to maintain and enhance this project.
MENTORSHIP PROGRAM​
Our mentoring program is progressing as designed. The students are maintaining a journal, which give them an opportunity to express their thoughts, develop their writing skills, and help them to be assertive and analytical. In addition, the students have continued to receive scheduled meetings with the mentors.
CULTURAL AWARENESS​
Cultural Awareness workshops are conducted by educators and administrators as well as prominent members of the community. The purpose of the workshops is to instill in the students, at an early age, the importance of being assertive and to develop their self-esteem. The students and community members have provided positive feedback about the workshops.
CAREER COUNSELING​
The students are encouraged, under the guidance of their mentors to have discussions with regards to their interest in the contribution to their community and society as a whole. Students are given articles to read based on current issues. Questions are posed to the students which result in lively and interesting discussions.
